Pupils from two local schools in Tubatse received much needed gifts from Engen on Friday, August 23. The learners are from Marota Primary School in Ga- Motodi and Morethushe Primary School in Alverton. The two schools are in the Bogwasha Circuit.
Engen donated 50 pairs of shoes to the neediest pupils at both schools. This company also gifted them with socks, beanies and scarfs. In handing the donations, Engen had partnered with the the Steelpoort Community Stakeholder Forum which was led by its chairperson Vusi Ntimbane.
“Education is one of Engen’s key social investment focus areas,” said Engen’s Ronald Chauke.
He said Engen has a proud record of social investment and cares deeply about the communities in which it operates.
“We believe that education is a key enabler to transform lives, which is why we are so passionate about the Winter Warmer School Shoe initiative because it will help uplift and empower young learners.”
Chauke said the beanies and scarfs can be used during the 2025 Winter season, as the Spring season is upon us. Pupils and management at both schools sang and recited poems to thank Engen for lending a helping hand.
