Abicky crowned Best Male Gospel Artist of the year
Masakaneng – Nationally acclaimed South African
Gospel star, Abicky Kgolane, from Masakaneng Township outside Groblersdal, has been awarded with the prestigious Best Male Artist of the year at the Royal Gospel Music Awards, held at Ntshonalanga Hall in Tembisa, Gauteng, on Saturday 10 August.
Abicky’s remarkable journey, spanning over the years, has seen him sharing a stage with renowned artists. He is known by his charts-topping album, “Mphe Matla” and his latest singles, “Ha ole teng and Tsamaya le rona”, which is also making waves at various radio stations and television gospel shows.
This recognition solidides his position as one of South Africa’s top leading figure in the gospel music industry.
He said his latest achievement is a testament to his dedication, passion for music and innovative approach to the gospel music. Abicky is being described as a beacon of hope to many up-coming gospel artists especially those living in rural impoverished communities, to say it is possible.
Abicky’s philanthropic efforts, combined with his musical prowess, talent and skills make him a true icon in the entertainment industry.
His latest gospel hit, “Ha ole teng”, also got him nominated for the Old Mutual 11 Independent National Gospel Music Awards (INGOMA), set to take place on the 14 September 2024 at Meropa Sun in Polokwane, where the winners will be announced.
