Youth business seminar enjoys massive participation
MONSTERLUS – The vibrant Monsterlus Online Radio Station together with SEDA initiated the first move to bolster emerging businesses at Nkandla Lodge in the area within Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality last Thursday.
The collaboration hosted a youth business seminar through which 130 entrepreneurs converged in Monsterlus to share information and ideas for their economic well-being.
The session further sought to assist those starting businesses on how to register their operations and access funds.
Johannes Marumo, one of the orgainsers, said most importantly, the gathering advised the young people on ways to sustain their businesses.
Marumo indicated that they involved various business funding institutions such as LEDA and Absa bank to mention but a few.
“Young entrepreneurs posed questions related to running of businesses and getting funding. The aim is to frequently have these seminars for consistency in providing relevant information and reach out to more,” said Marumo.
He added, “As Monsterlus Online Radio Station, we would like to thank each and everyone who attended and most importantly, SEDA for partnering with us on this programme which will create a suitable ground for growth of businesses of young people in Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality,” stated Marumo.
Maruma encouraged other established business to come on board in the interest of improving emerging ones that are owned by the youth to prosper for the local economy to grow rapidly.
“The event was a great success and we are looking forward to other sponsorships to join and make it even bigger,” concluded Marumo.
