Foreign national found with suspected stolen goods

A foreign national suspect arrested by the Limpopo SAPS in Praktiseer will soon appear before the local magistrate’s court on charges of suspected stolen goods. The suspect was arrested on June 20 during a series of co-ordinated operations.


“Members of the SAPS in Burgersfort, including Tubatse Detectives, Tactical Response Team, conducted successful raids during the weekend in Praktiseer.
“The joint efforts of the multidisciplinary forces focused on tracking down wanted suspects. Acting on intelligence, the teams pinpointed a rented residence in Praktiseer . A search of the premises uncovered a male suspect in possession of three 107cm Plasma Television sets and three Hisense microwaves ,” said Limpopo SAPS spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba.
He said the properties found in the house are linked to a robbery which occurred in January at an electric appliance store in Burgersfort.
According to the SAPS, the 26-year-old foreign national male was promptly apprehended for possession of suspected stolen goods after failing to provide proof of purchase.
