Consultative workshop to empower Limpopo sports women

Limpopo – The Limpopo Sports Confederation (LSC) will be hosting a 2024 Annual Limpopo Women-In-Sport Consultative Workshop at the Zororo Lodge in Polokwane on Saturday 1 June 2024.

The sporting workshop is set to equip sporting women from the five districts of Limpopo Province with skills that will be utilized to uplift their communities.

LSC Secretary General, Puleng Mmotla, said the workshop is expected to be attended by one representative from all member federations in the regions.

He said the programmed will be leading by LSC Head of Women-In-Sport Portfolio, Mme Ria Ledwaba, who will be addressing member federations and Head of Woman-In-Sport in the federation during the Annual Limpopo Woman-In-Sport Consultative Workshop.

“This invitation further applies to Heads of Women-In-Sport in District Sports Confederations. The Annual Consultative Workshop serves as a crucial platform for women leaders, each representing the thirty-three member federations of the Limpopo Sports Confederation, to convene and reflect on the progress made in Woman-In-Sport initiatives,” explained Mmotla.

He added that the 2024 Women-In-Sport Consultative Workshop follows various consultative and groundbreaking processes, including Woman-In-Sport Policy Consultations with the National Department of Sport, Arts and Culture, aimed at laying the foundation for a National Women-In-Sport Policy.

“Additionally, the workshop contributes to the roadmap for the successful organization of the Woman-In-Sport Summit and awards ceremony, which took place on October 21, 2023,” he said.

Mmotla said the federations and district confederations are expected to attend the fruitful workshop in numbers.
