SDM warns of scammer

GROBLERSDAL – Sekhukhune District Municipality (SDM) has warned the public and potential service providers against fraudulent activities involving an individual named Isaac Kgwale, with cellphone number 060 875 9786, who is falsely claiming to be the institution’s Municipal Manager, Meshack Kgwale.

Lemson Moropjane, SDM spokesperson, said the individual has been reportedly requesting money or financial assistance from service providers in exchange for awarding tenders. Moropjane cautioned that the individual’s actions are fraudulent and not sanctioned by the district municipality.

“The municipality does not solicit any form of payment or financial assistance from service providers for the awarding of tenders. All tender processes are conducted in a transparent and fair manner, in accordance with our official procurement procedures.
