Two fast foods outlets robbed in Burgersfort
BURGERSFORT
Limpopo SAPS commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has ordered the swift apprehension of suspects, believed to be responsible for recent robberies at two major fast-food outlets in Burgersfort. In a bid to combat the rising incidents of criminal activity, she has directed law enforcement agencies to prioritize the identification and apprehension of those involved in these brazen acts.
“In the recent incident that took place on Monday, 13 May, at about 20:00, two armed suspects entered a fast-food outlet at Twin City Shopping Centre and demanded money. The suspects managed to take an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing from the scene,” said Limpopo SAPS spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba.
According to the SAPS, the other incident occurred at Burgersfort Mall on Sunday, 12 May, in which two suspects allegedly robbed another major fast-food outlet of an undisclosed amount of cash, using similar modus operandi.
There were no injuries reported during the incidents. Police have since opened cases of business robbery.
“We will not tolerate such flagrant disregard for the safety and security of our communities,” stated Hadebe. She emphasized the imperative need for swift and decisive factor action.
Police are urging anyone with information that can lead to the apprehension of the suspects to contact the investigating officer Sergeant Patrick Montle on 083 411 3345 or Crime Stop number 08600 10111 or the nearest police station or MySAPS App.
