Ratanang FC continue unbeaten streak
Leeuwfontein- Ratanang FC have stretched their unbeaten streak by winning their two previous matches during their campaign in the Ephraim Mogale Local Municipality (EPMLM) Local Football Association (LFA) League. This means Ratanang is the only undefeated club in their league and are among hopefuls to get promotion to the Hollywoodbets SAFA Sekhukhune Regional Football League in the 2024/2025 season.
The Mooihoek based soccer team emerged victorious by winning 3-1 in a recent thriller game played against Rivers FC from Leeuwfontein Township.
Mchana Mabiletse scored two late goals to give Ratanang 3 points away from home during the closely contested game in an encounter that took place at Mahlontebe Sport Complex in Leeuwfontein.
Ratang started the game with a strong determination and their efforts were rewarded when heir forward player, Vicks, broke the deadlock just after 17 minutes.
The host were on the back-foot for the most of the first half as the visitors continued to pile up the pressure. The game went to the half-time with Ratanang leading 1-0.
In a search for an equalizer, the hosts came gun blazing in the second half and their continuous pressure eventually paid off when their striker netted with a header from close range in 63minute to make it 1-1.
It looked like the two sides were going to share the spoils however, two late goals from Mchana “Search” Mabiletse saw Ratang walking away with all 3 points.
The outstanding Ratanang FC had also gained victory by defeating Vultures FC from Manapyane Village 2-0 in another LFA League match played at Ratanang Sports Grounds on Saturday 4 May.
