Man escapes death after investigating a dog bark
RIBA CROSS – The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Tubatse have launched a search operation for four unknown male suspects responsible for attempted murder of a 47 year-old man which occurred on Monday, 6 May, at Riba Cross, Ga-Madiseng Section.
According to police, the victim was awaken by a persistent bark of a dog at about 02:00 when he allegedly walked outside the house to check what was happening.
Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba, Limpopo Provincial police spokesperson, informed that the victim then saw the suspects in the yard, picked up a brick and threw it in their direction.
Mashaba explained that one of the suspects fired two shots towards victim, resulting in him running back to the house.
“The suspects followed him to the house and he was able to get away and seek assistance from his neighbours. The suspects fled on foot. The following day, the victim reported the incident to the police and an attempted murder case was opened,” added Mashaba.
