Pontsho Kgwetiane (25), also known as Decency is a talented man. Kgwetiane, from Bothashoek Village Phelindaba Section, makes a living out of drawing and painting. He said drawing has been amongst his hobbies since his young age.
“I was not inspired by anyone, it’s a God given talent.
“I started drawing while I was at Mokgabudi Primary School. I drew wrestlers like Rey Mysterio and John Cena,” he told this publication.
He said when he enrolled at Mmiditsi Secondary School, his love for drawing escalated.
“When I was bored in class, and tired of studying and listening to the educators, i will then start drawing them while they are busy teaching,” he quipped.
He added, ” After my matric, I met Fiya Selahle and Comfort Marebane, local pencil artists, who pushed me so hard to practice and perfect my skills .”
Currently he draws locals, and charges according to the sizes of the drawings. “I am still lacking some drawing equipment and art materials but with some support, I will be one of the best artists in Tubatse. “
