ANC delivers generous donations in Dennilton and Maseleseleng

Dennilton/Maseleseleng – The ANC in Sekhukhune Region has donated 200 chairs to the Zulu Congregation Church at Phucukani Section in Dennilton, Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality (EMLM). The party, leading by Acting Sekhukhune Regional Chairperson Minah Bahula and Regional Secretary Tala Mathope, paid homage to the church on Sunday 10 March to join the church service with congregants.

The ANC leadership also committed to renovate the place of worship, which was gutted by fire a few weeks ago after an unknown intruder burned it down.

During the service, Mathope informed the congregants that they paid homage to the church to pray with them and also to offer moral support after they heard about the fire incident.

“ANC is a caring organisation, which is why we are here to check on how our people are coping. It is an act of empty morality and satanism for one to come and burn a place of worship. We are very shocked because a church is a holy and innocent place which we do not expect anyone to hold grudges against,” he said.

Mathope told congregants that the party commits to renovate the building so that faith of the church members can be restored.

“We also came with a donation of 200 chairs to provide a means of seating since the seats are damaged. Congregation, be strong spiritually during this unfortunate situation. Let us pray and ask God to restore morality to those who did this shameful act of burning our church,” he said.

Acting Chairperson Bahula committed to provide a borehole which will be located in the church premises. The water from the same borehole will also benefit the community around the church.

Bahula also used the opportunity to emphasize that they will ensure that the renovation of the church building will make the structure to be even in a better condition than it was before.

Bahula and Tala, both born on 3 March, jointly continued with their birthday month celebration trail where they shared a cake with the congregation.

Furthermore, the ANC Women’s League (ANCWL) in Sekhukhune Region has donated school shoes and food parcels to Maseleseleng community in Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality (MLM).

The donation was made in line with the ANCs “Winnie Madikizela Mandela Brigade” launching build up programme that will be taking place soon

Bahula officiated the donation and handed-over 150 school shoes, food parcels and washing powder soap to hundreds of destitute families.

“This organisation has made us better people and one of our responsibility is to take care of it. To those whom the ANC has touched today, your lives have changed and some of you are even having things you never thought you would have. My short message to you is that we must not be selfish when we are in the system, we must open doors so that the ANC can go on touching others like it did to us,” she said.
