Sifama scores on debut after joining Sekhukhune
BURGERSFORT
Former Kaizer Chiefs forward Keletso Sifama has signed for Sekhukhune United after parting ways with Amakhosi.
The 20-year-old made his first team debut as a teenager in August 2020 but didn’t quite establish himself before loan stints at Maritzburg United, Pretoria Callies and Casric Stars.
Upon the expiry of his contract in the off-season, he was initially said to be on his way to Baroka but then followed the former Casric coach Paulus Masehe to Babina Noko, who is now the head coach of the DStv Diski Challenge team.
Sifama agreed a three-year deal with the view of a quick first-team promotion if he excels in the reserve league this season.
Meanwhile Sifama made an indelible mark by scoring a debut goal that helped Sekhukhune United secure their third consecutive victory in the Dstv Diski Challenge(DDC) match on Saturday at Isak Steyl Stadium at the Vaal University of Technology (VUT).
His presence on the field added an extra dimension to Sekhukhune United’s attack, and his goal turned out to be the decisive factor in the 3-2 victory.
The victory against AmaZulu extends Sekhukhune’s impressive winning streak in the DDC, firmly establishing them as the team to beat in the competition.
