Manganeng model a semi-finalist in Miss Limpopo
MANGANENG
Matilda Mohlala has got it all, beauty, brains; she also has a good and caring heart.
Mohlala from Manganeng is a semi-finalist in the Miss Limpopo 2024 pageants The 23-year-old model, who was a finalist in the Miss Mogul International Africa 2021, wants to bring home the crown to Sekhukhune.
“I draw inspiration from Jacqui Mofokeng, who was the first black woman to win Miss South Africa in 1993 during apartheid. Her reign was a symbol of transformation for black girls. She paved a way for the girls forging their path in the beauty pageant industry,” said Mohlala.
This Unisa student urges locals to support her by visiting the Miss Limpopo website to cast their votes. “Your votes can guarantee me a spot in the final. We are tasked with being involved in charities in our communities. I’m humbly asking for individuals and businesses to donate anything that is within their abilities such as grocery vouchers, sanitary towels, babies’ and adult diapers or money in order for me to fulfil my obligations. They can follow me on social media to witness my community participation projects and enquire about the voting processes.”
Mohlala is dedicated to serving local communities. She has several projects in which she is assisting the needy and vulnerable.
“There is nothing more powerful than young leaders who are passionately driven to tackle the increasingly complex problems within their communities. I’m working with Maretlagadi Welfare Centre that caters for the needs of children who are living with autism, Down syndrome and cerebral palsy.”
