Mayor Moimana meets McCormick over Leeuwfontein Township Mall progress
MARBLE HALL – Ephraim Mogale Local Municipality Mayor, Given Moimana has on Tuesday, 6 June 2023 met the representatives from McCormick Company to look at the progress of Leeufontein Mall project.
Percy Moagi, EPMLM Communications Manager, indicated that the discussions are at an advance stage and all the parties are happy about the developments. Moagi said Mayor Moimana is so passionate about the issue of building a smart mall during his tenure in office.
Moimana believes the construction of this Mall will activate village economy and as a result majority of outside communities outside Marble Hall will benefit from ecomic spinoffs that would happen during the construction of the project until completion phases.
“I am happy that this will not be a dream deffered and finally we going to have a mall in our municipality.
Many livelihoods will change for the better and our people would no longer have to travel long distances to access some groceries and other amenities,” further said Moimana
He concluded that they are still at the initial phase of the envisaged project and in future they will keep all stakeholders up to speed with new developments and bring them on board.
