Poor work on road a concern for residents
DENNILTON – The bad state of the D856 road that links Moteti and Philadelphia hospital in Dennilton, Moutse remains irksome for residents and users.
According to residents the road was recently, less than six months ago, redone and potholes filled.
They worry that barely months later it has gone back to its unusable state.
Seun Mogotji, Bolsheviks Party of South Africa leader, said that was poor workmanship at its best and that the company that was hired by the Limpopo Department of Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure did a poor job and got paid while they were left with those gaping potholes that are a hazard to motorists using that road daily.
“We understand that this company has been given the green-light to carry on with where they left off, to continue with this poor workmanship job until the Bronkhorspruit/Groblersdal T-junction.
And why was this company from the Western Cape appointed over local companies?
What is so special about them? Unless they have greased someone’s palms to get the tender, this must be investigated before this company cause more damage to our roads,” concluded Mogotji
Attempts to get comment from DPWRI were not successful at the time of going to press.
