Hijacked TLB recovered by community members

MABOTSHA

A group of men from Mabotsha rescued a Fetakgomo Tubatse Local municipality’s TLB from getting lost on Thursday.
The men blew the whistle on the crime when they discovered the abandoned equipment at the bushes between Mabotsha and Ga Makofane.
The TLB was alleged to have been hijacked in Praktiseer during the night of November 3.
“When we saw the machine, we immediately called the SAPS. They came along with the TSS security and a tracking company. The TLB was not damaged and was still in good condition. It was seized by the SAPS after we notified them,” said one of the community members.
Meanwhile the Tubatse SAPS is hard at work with investigations on the matter. The Tubatse SAPS appealed to community members to assist with information on the alleged hijackers.Anyone with information regarding this incident should urgently contact the Tubatse SAPS or the the Crime Stop number, 0860010111, or visit the nearest police station or use the My SAPS app.

This is not the first time; one of the local municipalities has its equipment stolen. In the  past years,  Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality ‘s dumper machine  mysteriously disappeared from one of its sites.
