ANC in Sekhukhune supports Premier Mathabatha’s decision

The ANC in Sekhukhune reaffirmed its support for the decision taken by the Premier Stanley Mathabatha to reconstitute the Executive Council of Limpopo province.
ANC in the Sekhukhune Region has once again held its ordinary Regional Executive Committee (REC) led by its chairperson Julia Mathabe on October 10.
The REC deliberated on the various political and organisational matters deriving from the political overview by the chairperson.
Tala Mathope, regional secretary said they covered the issue relating to the challenges experienced by many branches during the first and second week of the start of the BGMs in preparation for the national conference and applauded the prompt intervention by the ANC national office.
Mathupe said the REC reaffirmed its support for the decision taken by the Premier Stanley Mathabatha to reconstitute the Executive Council of Limpopo province and remains confident that a through assessment was conducted to arrive at a decision to effect changes.
He said the new members of the council are commended especially the son of the soil Rodgers Monama.
“The REC further encouraged the ANC deployees in government to prioritise the activities around the Fetakgomo Tubatse Special Economic Zone (SEZ). The programme remains the socio-economic game changer in the region and deserve the attention of all our deployees in all our municipalities in the region,” explained Mathupe.
He said the ANC in the region appreciated the MEC’s decision to extent the cutoff date for Branch General Meetings in preparation for the 55th ANC national conference from the 02 October 2022 to the 25 October 2022.
“The decision positively impacted on the progress the region has registered and remains confident that all our branches will take advantage of the extension by successfully concluding BGMs participate in the forthcoming national conference. More than 63 branches in the region have convened successful BGMs thus far,” said the regional secretary.
Mathupe said they resolved to constitute the disciplinary committee in line with the ANC constitution to assist the organisation in maintaining the revolutionary morality and discipline.
He said the REC understands discipline as the weapon of struggle and transformation with sole objective of safeguarding the unity of the ANC.
Elected members of disciplinary committee are Minah Bahula- Convener, Given Moimana, Reneilwe Pholwane, Dieketseng Mashego and Kgwediebotse Chego.
“The REC agreed to strengthen its capacity to provide political guidance to Makhuduthamaga sub-region after the elevation of Bella and Choris to the PEC who were both deployed to the sub-region. The meeting unanimously agreed to place Dieketseng Mashego as the convener of deployees with Frank Ratau and Halinda Mojalefa adding to the existing team of deployees,” said Mathupe.
The ANC in the region has acknowledged commendable efforts by various municipal councils to seal the crucial positions of section 56/57 managers in all our municipalities. This progress will inarguably improve governance, accountability, and the capacity of the municipalities to delivery timeous quality services to our people,” he said.
