Lebowakgomo hospital commemorates childhood cancer awareness

Lebowakgomo hospital in Lepelle Nkumpi Local Municipality (LNM) has hosted the childhood cancer awareness event.

 

This was to raise awareness on early warning signs of cancer in children below the age of 13 in order to promote early diagnosis.

 

It was themed “Better survival is achievable #throughyourhands”

 

The event was one of the many planned monthly activities by the Limpopo department of health.

 

Amongst other things to contribute efforts to improve survival rates for children diagnosed with cancer as well as World Health Organizations (WHO)’s global initiative for Childhood Cancer goals to achieve at least 60% survival globally & reduce suffering of all children with cancer by 2030.
