BPSA comes in defense of MEC Ramathuba
LIMPOPO – The Bolsheviks Party of South Africa (BPSA) has joint many in the defense of Limpopo MEC for Health, Dr Phophi Ramathuba whom the Democratic Alliance (DA) and Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) lambasted and called for her removal from office following her recent utterances on foreign nationals straining her department’s limited resources.
The BPSA moved that there was absolutely nothing wrong with what MEC Ramathuba said regarding foreign nationals flooding into South Africa and putting a strain on the country’s already over-stretched health system, collapsing it further.
The party charged that those who were attacking the MEC were mainly people with deep pockets and affording medical aids and private healthcare, having not experienced firsthand the dire situation in public health facilities.
Seun Mogotji, BPSA leader, said SA could not be expected to carry the whole of the Southern African Development Countries (SADC) on her frail shoulders.
Mogotji called for the support and applaud of MEC Ramathuba for publicly “saying what many say in dark corners.”
“SA has failed to decisively deal with the issue of immigration. In fact, we are in this mess because of the greed of leaders in our neighbouring states. Leaders all over the African continent neglect to upgrade the health care systems in their respective countries and when they get sick, they get medical care overseas. The poor people are the ones who have to suffer and that is why we are now having this huge influx of foreign nationals burdening our health system.
Blaming the MEC and calling for her removal won’t this problem go away, we see this things happen on a daily basis in our clinics and hospitals. Dr Ramathuba was merely stating the obvious,” concluded Mogotji.
