Jane Furse Plaza centre manager, Virginia Mashigo, said Phasha family were staying in a small shack before moving into the newly built five roomed house.
Virginia said they asked the DSD to at least identify six disadvantaged families so that they could build those families houses too.
She said it took merely three weeks to complete the house.
“We committed ourselves to do something for the poor families during this Mandela month. So far we have only managed to build for one family but we are hoping to reach our target,” she explained.
Speaking of stakeholders she said Built It is their major partners.
“Roots Butchery, Makhuduthamaga, Express and Come to Buy also partnered with us,” said Virginia.
Witnessing the handover she said Kholofelo expressed her happiness after she was officially given the key of the new house.
