Local brands showcase products at Pop Up Market
GROBLERSDAL – The Enterprise Development Agency Seda in partnership with Sekhukhune District Municipality (SDM) and provincial partners hosted a Pop Up Market in Groblersdal for two days from 18 March.
The first Pop Up Market was hosted in an effort to introduce local brands’ products to the public so that locals can relate to them and further open up their market,
The mecca saw the showcasing of the products at the Groblersdal Mall under the theme “Show your love for local brands”
Koenie Slabbert, Seda Provincial Manager, said that they would make sure that Seda helped local brands to be listed and available in retail stores and wholesalers.
Slabbert added that with SDM in partnership, the event would take place annually on a quarterly basis.
He further committed that Seda would assist all SMMEs with product testing and obtaining SABS certification for their products.
The provincial manager said that they would also help the local brands to also access SABS’ mark to be able to compete in the big market and become part of CMT (Cut Make and Trim)
Over 35 SMMEs originating from within the district attended to showcase their products at the Pop – Up Market.
