A Limpopo University professor has been killed. This tempted the Polokwane SAPS to launch a manhunt for the suspects who allegedly shot and killed the 51 year old university lecturer.
He was shot whilst jogging along the Munik road next to Sterpark suburb in Polokwane on 13 March at about 06:30.
“The victim, identified as Professor Saber Tayob Mohammed, a Lecturer at the University of Limpopo whom is also said to be a chartered accountant, was reportedly jogging when a white VW Polo drove past him and then made a u-turn.
“The said vehicle stopped next to him and a passenger disembarked and shot the victim several times at point blank. The suspects quickly drove off from the scene,” revealed Limpopo SAPS spokesman Brig Motlafelo Mojapelo.
