StatsSA count FTLM mayor

StatsSA has counted most people in the country.Monday March 14 was the turn for Fetakgomo Tubatse’s number one citizen to be counted.

A team from Statistics SA visited the home of FTLM’s mayor Cllr Eddie Maila to count him along with her family.

The Census helps policy-makers to understand the size and profile of the South African, population for better planning.

Maila encouraged the residents of FTLM to embrace the Statistics SA fieldworkers who are doing this important work across the length and breadth of our majestic land.
“There is a critical role that the size of the population is playing when coming to the allocation of equitable share.

“Our communities quiet often (raise) the issue that they are tired of being counted not knowing that to be counted is so important and also to the budget processes of the municipality.
“So we are humbly requesting them to allow Census 2022 to count them so that we can get resources form the national coffers to assist with service delivery,”
