ANC Sekhukhune region rallies behind Mathabatha chairpersonship

JANE FURSE – The African National Congress (ANC) Sekhukhune region has re-affirmed its unwavering support for Chupu Mathabatha as Chairperson, Florence Radzilane for Deputy Chairperson, Danny Msiza as Provincial Secretary, Basikop Makamo for Provincial Deputy Secretary and Nakedi Sibanda as Provincial Treasurer ahead of the Limpopo conference.

The region confirmed its support for the provincial leadership list during its Special Regional Council convened in Jane Furse’s Laduma Hotel within Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality on 15 February 2022.

The RGC further mandated the Regional Executive Committee officials to canvass the view of the branches across the structures of organization in the province.

The council was attended by 92 branches across the length and breadth of Sekhukhune region, the ANCWL, ANCYL, ANCVL and the representatives of the alliance components as well as the Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) deployees.

According to the region the council was triggered by the directive from the PEC after having adopted the roadmap to the tenth provincial conference and guidelines thereof.

It engaged on various political matters that contribute to the unity and renewal of the organization.

The branches unanimously committed to consider the principles of organizational democracy and discipline as well as through the eye of the needle as a guiding tool on leadership tool preference towards the provincial conference.

The RGC acknowledged the tremendous work undertaken by the PEC collective lead by the Provincial Chairperson Chupu Mathabatha for having stabilized the province both politically and administratively.

It agreed to adopt the principle of continuity and change as a tradition and culture of the organization in leading with the question of leadership.
