Limpopo Miss Teen pageant pleads for support
STEELPOORT(GA PHASHA)
A young vibrant local lady wishes to fly the Tubatse flag high. Thakgatso Choma (16) from Ga Phasha Mampuru is amongst the top 40 pageants that made it to the semi-finals of the Miss Teen Limpopo competition.
The grade 11 pupil from Calvin College pleaded, “I have a request my wonderful people. I recently joined Miss Teen Limpopo and I am looking for sponsors that will help make my dreams true.
“I have been selected in the Top 40 as a representative of Burgersfort/ Steelpoort. I need sponsors that will help me raise an amount of R1500 before October 29, with that completed, I will then make it to the next round which is the Top 20 finalists.”
The provincial competition is not Choma’s first. In 2019 she competed in the Miss Burgersfort pageant.
“I came up first position, and was crowned the Queen. The public’s help will be highly appreciated as this is a life changing opportunity.”
According to Katryn Celliers, an organiser for the Limpopo pageants, this is what is expected from the local girl.
“She needs to raise R1500 sponsorship fee that goes towards the pageant. This is compulsory and should be paid on or before October 29 for her to be allowed into the interview round.
She also has to organise one charity project of her choice in her home town, this could be donating stationery, clothes and other necessities or assisting with cleaning, painting to improve local facilities and centres.”
The Miss Limpopo teen finale will be crowned on November 27 in Polokwane.
