Elderly woman and male nurse disappear in separate incidents

EENKANTAAN/TAFELKOP – The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Nebo have launched a search operation following the disappearance of 85 year-old woman from Eenkantaan Village.

It is alleged that the 85 year-old Magajane Anna Mapadimeng was last seen outside her house in the early hours of Thursday, 23 September at about 03:00.

The missing elderly woman was reportedly seen wearing a black shirt with a black cap at the time of her disappearance. Police have conducted search operations at friends, relatives and surrounding areas without success.

Anyone with information that can assist to locate the missing elderly woman is requested to contact Captain Mogawane at 082 573 4672, the crime stop number 08600 10111 or the nearest police station, alternatively send information on MySAPSApp.

Meanwhile, Police in Groblersdal are investigating a missing person case following the disappearance of a 36 year-old man from Tafelkop’s Stadium View section outside Groblersdal.

The missing man, Lazarus Letebele Mogodi, works as a nurse at the Groblersdal Hospital and was allegedly last seen on Thursday, 09 September, at the local taxi rank.

The 30 year-old missing nurse is medium built, dark in complexion, deformed on the left fingers and has an unsteady gait.

Police search operation was conducted at places he frequently visited and surrounding areas with no success. At the time of disappearance, he was reportedly wearing black shoes, black denim trousers with blue and white floral shirt and brown T-shirt.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the missing man is requested to contact the investigating officer, Detective Constable Mac Phokane at 076 122 9648, Captain Stanley Magaela at 082 729 2235 or the nearest police station, alternatively send information on MySAPSApp.
