Sekhukhune United ready to compete in the PSL

With the new DSTV Premiership starting tomorrow, Sekhukhune United took time from their busy schedule to visit the Sekhukhune region. The team visited Tjate Heritage Site at Ntswaneng on Friday. The players and the technical team placed roses on the statue of Kgoshi Sekhukhune I. This was in honouring the Kgoshikgolo of Bapedi. The team was also briefed about the history of Bapedi baga Sekhukhune.
On Saturday morning a training session was conducted at Ga Motodi’s new stadium. The session was watched by fans from Ga Motodi and Praktiseer. The team also visited Simon and Jonas Malatji’s home in Praktiseer were they interacted with the fans.The team completed their visit to the Sekhukhune region with a visit to the Royal House in Mohlaletse on Sunday.
Sekhukhune United seemed ready for the DSTV premiership season. Their new signings and key players for this season is the likes of Yosuf Maart, Willard Katsande, Justice Chabalala, Prince Nxumalo, Thabo Rakhale, Ryan De Jongh, Tapuwa Kapini, Cheslyn Jampies, Tshidiso Patji and Nicholas Lukhubeni .
The team have also bolstered their technical team with the recent arrival of Thabo Senong, who is an assistant to head coach Macdonald Makhubedu. The team’s first encounter in the PSL is on Saturday against Chippa United at Makhulong Stadium.
The management of the team pleaded for support from locals, they assured people of Sekhukhune that they will not be adding numbers but will compete for honours in the elite league.
