Romans victorious once again

MABOCHA

It was the Praktiseer derby in the finals of Mabocha’s Easter soccer tournament.  16 teams from Tubatse competed in the tournament which was hosted at  Sehloi sports grounds. The tournament started on Good Friday and was successfully completed on Monday.

Up the Romans defeated Praktiseer United 5-4 in penalties. The two teams drew 1 all in 90 minutes of play. The Romans’s winning penalty was scored by Lebo Mathebula.

The game was tough for both teams as they did not create enough goal scoring opportunities. The two goals converted, were due to lapse in concentration from the defenders.

The victory in the Easter tournament was the Romans’s third triumph in as many weeks.

“We will continue playing our best football and to ensure we win every tournament we are invited,” said Romans coach Mvuleni Mnisi.
