No service delivery for Dennilton

Dennilton

An opposition party in the Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality (EMLM), the African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) has raised numerous concerns which negatively impacted members of the community in Dennilton at Moutse area and RDP section.

The party chairperson, Jaco Odendaal, said community struggles with illegal dumping, overgrazing, unsafe poor roads and unhealthy water provision.

“There is illegal dumping taking place in Dennilton that affects the residents and the animals,” said Odendaal.

He said it was unhealthy and unsafe for the residents and the animals to live proxy to illegal dumping as it impose threat to human health conditions due to bad smell.

“If the animals ate broken glasses that are thrown in the dumping area then they will die,” he said

Odendaal said residents also struggle to walk freely due to long grasses on the road.

“They don’t have proper water provision and used road is unsafe,” he said.

“As the ACDP we are taking a stand against this kind of treatment to our communities in the municipality and we therefore call upon the local and district municipalities for their intervention to bring service delivery to the people,” said Odendaal.
