Man arrested for possession of unlicensed firearm

The Nebo SAPS through an intelligence driven operation arrested a 29-year-old male last Wednesday. The suspect has been nabbed for house robbery and possession of unlicensed firearm at Mokgapaneng village.
“The team comprising top cops in the Sekhukhune District, Nebo SAPS station commander and tracking units operationalised the information received from our source about the suspect of the house robbery incident, which was committed on August 16 ,around Mokgapaneng village.

“It is reported that the suspect was spotted by the source at his residence and alerted the SAPS .They swiftly responded to the information subsequently cornered and arrested the suspect. He was found to be in possession of unlicensed firearm,” revealed Limpopo SAPS spokesman Colonel Malesela Ledwaba.

The SAPS are hard on the heels of the accomplice of the suspect . Limpopo SAPS commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe welcomed the arrest . She said the SAPS are removing illegal firearms from wrong hands and this is very important and saving innocent lives .

The suspect is expected to appear before the Nebo Magistrate’ Court soon.
