LIMPOPO

Less than  a year after acquiring the status of Bidvest Wits in the DSTV Premiership, owner of Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila Lawrence Mulaudzi has sold the club status.

According to sources, Ditonkana Abram Sello, the Sekhukhune-born businessman and pharmacist who owns a team called Ollesdas FC in the ABC Motsepe League in Limpopo, has emerged as TTM’s new owner after agreeing to pay R40m to acquire the club from  Mulaudzi. Mulaudzi had initially bought the team for over R50m in 2020.

On Monday, the Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila players were officially introduced to the new club owners during a meeting held at the club’s offices in Venda.

The deal was subject to an approval from the Premier Soccer League (PSL) executive committee which is set to meet today (Thursday.)

The deal will see TTM move their training base from Vhembe to Polokwane in the next coming weeks.

The team will play their home games this season at both the Thohoyandou stadium as well as the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Almost half way into the DSTV season,Tshakhuma are languishing on position 16 having accumulated 9 points in 13 games. Their next fixture is against Bloemfontein Celtic on Sunday at Dr Petrus Molemela stadium
