Green House Lifestyle organise sports tournament and beauty pageants for locals

The Green House Lifestyle (Shibishane), a popular restaurant and bar at Ga Motodi ensured the youth were kept busy during the festive. This liquor outlet organised a sports tournament for the locals in and around Sekhukhune.
The sports tournament saw teams participate in netball, men and ladies soccer. The games were held between December 16 and 22.
The games were played at Cosmos Sports Grounds as well as Ga-Motodi Stadium. Batlatumisha FC were crowned the champions in the mens’ soccer after they defeated Cindy FC 1-0 in the finals.
In winning the tournament, Batlatumisha took home a trophy, gold medals, a brand-new soccer kit, two soccer balls and R10 000 cash. The runners-up were also awarded a soccer kit, silver medals, a miniature trophy, a soccer ball and R4 000 cash’
Longtill Gunners, a netball team from Steelpoort, won the netball competition. They defeated Alverton Darkies 18-7. In ladies’ soccer, Bullet FC were crowned the champions after thrashing Flamingo 6-1.
Both the winners in ladies soccer and netball received R2 000. Sports was not the only activities rendered by Green House, on December 21, the management organised the Miss Green House Beauty pageants.
The queen for the night was Mashamothane’s Cassandra Maoko, while Brilliant Makofane and Refilwe Mweza were crowned first and second princesses respectively. The trio received an avalanche of gifts.
In hosting both the soccer tournament and pageants, Green House sponsored the teams and contestants with more than R150 000.
