Ga-Molepane community rallies behind cleaning campaign at temporary clinic

GA-MOLEPANE

A group of dedicated community members from Ga-Molepane Village outside Jane Furse, came together on Sunday 29 June 2025 to participate in a cleaning campaign at their local temporary clinic structure.

The temporary clinic structure is used by the Department of Health during visits by a mobile clinic on Mondays.

The initiative was in response to complaints from mobile clinic staff and nurses about the facility’s untidy condition.

During the cleaning campaign, Mogomatse Investment Holdings, a local business company, generously donated cleaning materials, including brooms, mops, cleaning liquids, floor polish, tissue rolls, table cloths, sponges, and fitted sheets to cover beds.

The organization also provided a satisfying lunch for the volunteers after the campaign.

Mogomatse Investment Holdings Director, Lloyd Mankge, said the cleaning campaign has significantly improved the working environment for the mobile clinic staff and nurses, enhancing their ability to provide quality healthcare services.

“We are happy that the mobile clinic, which visits the area every Monday, can now operate more efficiently and effectively, providing better healthcare services to the community. The community is now benefiting from a cleaner and more conducive facility, which will undoubtedly lead to better patient care,” he said.

According to Mankge, the initiative demonstrated community spirit and ownership, promoting a sense of responsibility and cooperation among residents.

“The partnership between the community and Mogomatse Investment Holdings has been strengthened, showcasing the positive impact of collaborative efforts,” he said.

Mankge stated that the community extended its heartfelt gratitude to Mogomatse Investment Holdings for their kindness and generosity in supporting the cleaning campaign.

“We received tons of compliments from residents about our contribution which they say it has undoubtedly made a significant difference in the lives of community members,” said Mankge.
