Needy pupils handed school uniforms

More than 30 learners from five locals schools were recipients of a donation made recently  by the R37/ R555 Development Forum and Elegant Modikwa Filling Station.
The donations were handed  at Mosebu Primary School hall, Ga Mashamothane Village. The event was honoured by Magoshi, educators, and representatives from SA Shepherd College as well as Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality’s councilor Tshepo Makutu .
The forum, with the help of educators, identified needy learners from Mosebu, Gowe, Riba, Sebope and Tumishi Primary Schools.
The donation consisted of a school uniform (shoes , ties, shirts, T-shirts, trousers, socks and a tunics).
“This is the beginning. We hope people from our community will work with us to help all the needy learners. We are planning to also buy jerseys and tracksuits for the Winter season.
“We plead with people to donate what they can to assist in giving back to the community,” said Phuthi Malungane, of the R37/R555 Development Forum.
Philemon Tsie from Elegant, said their doors are always open to assist needy pupils.
Words of encouragement were given to the learners by their educators, tribal leaders, pastors and school representatives to uplift and give them hope.
Educator at Gowe Elizabeth Masinga said it’s wonderful to see people caring for learners by providing basic school necessities.
“We’ve seen that some of our learners are in need.
“Seeing a child not having a full school uniform is painful. This can also affect their confidence and grades.”
