EPMLM Mayor Given Moinama celebrates his birthday at Rephologile centre

MORARELA – Ephraim Mogale Local Municipality Mayor, Given Moimana donated blankets and groceries to the Rephologile Centre for the Elderly and People Living With Disability in Morarela Village on his 47th birthday on Monday, 26 June 2023.

Mayor Moimana was joined by his wife, Joy, council Chief Whip, Itumeleng Magane, executive committee members, Cooperate Services Director, Mmaphiri Rampedi, Dennis Makola from SASSA and Social Worker Johanna Chaba among other guests.

The mayor shared his birthday cake with the elderly, people living with disabilities and children at the centre and presented them with goodies.

He told those in attendance that day was not a day for long speeches but the one to spend his birthday with the elderly at Rephologile centre and the community of Morarela.

Moimana appreciated the elders’ contributions towards his upbringing and said he came to the centre to thank them for raising him with love and care.

“I am who I am today because of you. You are very important in our lives. Mme Masemola you are doing a very good job of keeping our elders busy here at the centre,” said Moimana.

He encouraged the walk that the elderly take to the centre daily and talks they make with one another as that relieves them from stress and other related problems.

“I brought some blankets and groceries as a token of appreciation. Le tla no kgerogana hlogwana ya tsie. May the Almighty God protect you,” concluded Moimana.
