Despite the pandemic scores of youth in Ga Masemola, Thabampshe have managed to participate on hiking adventurous and Color Walk.
Hundreds of Thabampshe youth have celebrated festive season in style when embarked on an 8 kilometres initiative of hiking adventure from Thetiane Heritage Mountain to the Sefoka royal house on December 28.
Participated youth have started their journey at about 05:30 am and reached ending point at about 09: 00am.
Three hours walk has inspired many young people in the area and they described it as uniting youth and to promote healthy lifestyle.
On the following day, they youth had initiated on successful Color Walk whereby they met at about 05:30 at Juventus sports ground.
They walked from Juventus raising awareness of scourge of Gender Based Violence painted themselves with different colours while heading to Thabampshe cross before went to the Thabampshe area.
It was hosted by Thabampshe Fitness Club (TFC) partnered with Barwa Youth Development Institute (BYDI) together with Faculty of Best Advisory (FBA)
According to one of the participants, Rodgers Nchabeleng, they had hiking adventurous and Color walk to promote healthy lifestyle and to unite community.
Rodgers said they also utilised the opportunity to fight scourge of Gender Based Violence (GBV).
“We have seen the opportunity to unite youth and to spread messages condemning GBV and also raising awareness of covid-19 second wave,” said Rodgers.
