ACDP in the Ellias Motsoaledi concerned about the safety of residents

The African Christian Democratic Party (ACTDP) said it has concerned about the safety of the Groblersdal residents, due to a broken unsafe electricity box that is standing widely open.

According to the party member, Jaco Odendaal they reported the matter to the Ellias Motsoaledi Local Municipality (EMLM) but nothing has been done.

“They asked us where this electricity box is situated whereby we explained to them were this electricity box is situated, it is in Hereford street opposite Ackerman’s clothing shop,” said Odendaal.

“This is state property, and it is illegal for an electric box to be in such condition” he said.

A party member said they had conversation with the municipality and it looked like someone intentionally broke the box and they called for an investigation to bring the perpetrator to the book.

Odendaal has however said there are no investigation going on and no fixing of the box.

“As the ACDP within the municipality, hereby publicly requested the Elias Motsoaledi Municipality to fix this electricity box in due time or we will take several other steps to ensure this electricity box gets replaced and ensure the safety of the residence of Groblersdal,” so said Odendaal.

The party encouraged the residents within the municipality to report and contact if they have service delivery problems.
