Mentally disabled man goes missing
HLOGOTLOU – Police in Hlogotlou outside Groblersdal are on a search operation after the disappearance of a 61 year-old elderly man from Vlaakfontein Village.
According to police the 61 year-old Frakane Stephen Mokoena went missing on Monday, 04 January 2021.
The elderly man is reported to be mentally disabled, medium sized with no hair on his head. He was last seen by his nephew at home before he went to sleep at about 22:00 in Vlaakfontein Village that evening.
The next day in the morning, his nephew allegedly went to check on him in his room and discovered that he was not there.
Police said attempts to locate the elderly man at relatives, friends and the Groblersdal Hospital where he frequently collects his medication were not successful.
Mokoena was reported to have been wearing a black pair of trousers, grey shirt with long sleeves and a black safety boots at the time of his disappearance.
