Baroka to start DSTV PSL without head coach

GA-MPHAHELE

Local outfit Baroka FC look set to start the DSTV Premier Soccer League without their head coach Dylan Kerr.

Kerr was suspended by the Bakgaga’s board last week.

Bakgaga are expected to start the 2020/21 DStv Premiership campaign against Maritzburg United at the new Peter Mokaba stadium in Polokwane on October 24.

Baroka FC chairman Khurishi Mphahlele was quoted in the national media saying,

“We didn’t even set a date for the hearing, we only suspended him last week Monday so we will give him the date for the hearing.

“Yes, it’s possible [to start the season without him]. It’s not necessarily about his case being difficult, we just want to do proper things. We don’t want to do rush, rush and regret.

“It’s not going to affect the performance of the boys at all. They are being taken care of. You see, we just don’t want someone to think he is everything to the team. No one is invincible you know. We work together,” Mphahlele was quoted by Kick Off.

Kerr ensured Bakgaga escaped relegation after they managed a famous draw against Kaizer Chiefs in the league’s closing games.

Two more teams Limpopo teams Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila and Black Leopards will also be competing in the PSL this season.
