Organisation continue to help pupils

Ga Mashabela

A non-profit organisation, Topa Nama Mashabela Development, has embarked on a mission to make online application for members of community who passed from grade 9 to 12 for universities and Tverts.

On Saturday during the day, organisation held, decentralised walk in service at Mante Crech in Ga Mashabela were learners safely assisted by making online application.

Walk in service had been cleaned and sanitised and covid-19 protocols were observed to prevent the spread of the invisible enemy.

Applicants were advised to come up with hardcopies of certified ID copies and results. Required documents were submitted to members of the organisation whom scanned and uploaded them on the system before making application.

During the registrations, what was important was to not merely be a source of assistance through application, but also for applicants to get involved and exposed to online system.

Assisted pupils said initiative by organisation helped them a lot stating that they didn’t have money to buy data for making online application. Some also said they don’t have advantage devices to make applications.

Organisation said it can’t do a full programme due to lack of equipment, but they want to support educational programmes.

They also said they don’t have money, but being able to help the children with their application does make huge difference.

Organisation has dismayed to see young children struggling after completing their grade 12 and with no one to help them.

They had noticed huge gap in the community and saw many learners struggling to apply.
