Teenage girl goes missing

LEBOENG – The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Leboeng outside Burgersfort are on a search operation following the disappearance of a 19 year-old girl.

According to police, the 19 year-old Mamma Eva Makua from Leboeng, Rutseng Village, went missing on 09 September 2020.

Police said it was reported that Eva left her home that day in the morning at about 07:30 when she went to visit her father in Tembisa at the Oakmore section in the Gauteng Province.

She allegedly boarded a taxi at the Burgersfort CBD to Gauteng but Eva never reached her destination as her father was waiting for her at Oakmore. They tried to contact her through her cellphone but it was on voicemail, explained the police.

Police added that it was reported that during her disappearance, the 19 year-old Eva was wearing a maroon dress.

Police conducted search operations at relatives and friends including the surrounding areas but she was not found.

The search operation and investigations are still ongoing.
