It looks like the problematic and potholed roads outside Burgersfort town will be a thing of the past.
This is according to the MEC of public works in Limpopo province Dickson Masemola.
Masemola visited Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality area on August 28, he also visited royal houses; of Ramaube, Manoke and Sekhukhune – Marota-a-Bogwasha.
He conducted road inspections of the D4150 (R37 to Praktiseer) and D2537 (Penge, Dresden and Praktiseer road).
“This is part of the continuing work to visit, inspect and experience first hand what road users go through on a daily basis, as part of preparation for resolving the road infrastructure challenges in the province,” said Masemola in a media statement.
He said planning will begin in order to have the patching and rehabilitation work being done soon within the current financial year.
” We are going to ensure major rehabilitation of the roads in Tubatse and engineering process are underway towards getting a contractor on site.Our mandate is infrastructure provision and maintenance.”
