BURGERSFORT

The leadership at the Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality (FTLM) visited local schools to check for their compliance on Covid-19 regulations.

According to the new regulations which Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga released, pupils in Grades R, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6,9,10 and Grade 11 had to return to schools on 24 August.

In the FTLM, the visits were attended by the speaker of the council Naume Phala, local circuit managers and staff at the FTLM.

The team visited more than 8 schools in and around Fetakgomo Tubatse.

The commitee revealed to the Sekhukhune Times that they were happy with the compliance and adherence at the schools.

“ We are happy as most schools have the sanitizers and facemasks to combat this pandemic.

“However, we caution communities that the war against Covid-19 isn’t over and we urge all members of the public to observe precautions,” members of the committee told this publication.
