The African National Congress (ANC) Women’s league in the Sekhukhune district has continuously raised a disturbing concern over the alleged ignorant of evidence by the Police on the late Precious Magabane’s murder case.
Previously in 2018 the police investigations led to the arrest of two Pakistani nationals and Magabane’s head was found after her boyfriend Ahsan Cheema pointed them to the crime scene.
Baatseba Leshaba, regional secretary of ANC women’s league, said Magabane’s family would have closure only if the other body parts of their beloved one found.
“It’s concerning that the suspects are delaying the trail in the Polokwane high court by constantly changing their legal representatives,” said regional secretary.
Leshaba alleges that the police did not follow leads after a woman was found with Magabane’s phone in her car.
“Someone would answer Magabane’s phone and send SMSs and WhatsApp messages between August 2018 and December, the month in which Precious was reported missing,” Leshaba explained.
