TUBATSE – Police in Tubatse outside Burgersfort have launched a search operation following the disappearance of a 53 year-old woman.
According to police, the 53 year-old Laizah Getrude Manzini reportedly went missing on 20 June 2020 in the afternoon.
Police said Manzini was a resident of Bushbuckridge in Mpumalanga province and was allegedly visiting a relative in Tubatse during at the time of her disappearance.
Preliminary police investigations revealed that Manzini last called her daughter who stays at Kabokweni location in Nelspruit on 20 June 2020, using an unknown number and told her that she was coming to visit her but she never arrived, according to police.
Police said the victim could not be located and her cellphone was always on voicemail. Additionally, the type of clothes she was wearing during her disappearance is unknown.

The police investigations and search operation are ongoing.
Meanwhile, Thibane Salis Mafiri aged 34 who resides in Groblersdal, allegedly went missing on 27 July 2020 also in the afternoon.
Mafiri went missing after he allegedly hitchhiked an unknown motor vehicle along the Ribacross road in the Tubatse area outside Burgersfort.
Police said he was wearing a black and white jersy, black jeans and white shoes. He is tall, slender with chin beard and brown eyes.
