Young lady’s body found buried in a shallow grave

POLOKWANE

After missing for five months,Kgothatso Pula has been found buried in a shallow grave at her boyfriend’s home at Ga-Setati village.

Th 27-year-old disappeared on January 2 after visiting her alleged boyfriend.

Her remains were exhumed on Friday and a 30 -year-old man has been arrested.

Limpopo SAPS spokesman Brig Motlafelo Mojapelo said a well-coordinated intelligence driven operation was conducted to arrest the suspect.

The team included members derived from Crime Intelligence, the Provincial Investigations unit, Provincial Tracking Team and Polokwane Local Criminal Record Center.

“Members of the Team received information that took them to a spot at the boyfriend’s family premises, where the remains were exhumed from a shallow grave this afternoon. The suspect Estof Mphela was arrested and he appeared before the Seshego Magistrate’s Court on May 25, he appeared on charges of kidnapping and murder, “revealed Ngoepe .

Mphela was remanded in custody and the case has been postponed to June 1.

Meanwhile the Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo Lt Gen Nneke Ledwaba has also commended the dedicated team of investigators for ultimately arresting the suspect and recovering the remains of the woman.
