Good Samaritans continue to donate to the needy and vulnerable
MAKGEMENG
Since the start of lockdown local businessman Lazarus Magakwe has donated food parcels to families in and around Fetakgomo Tubatse. He also extend his hand by donating to villagers at Magagamatala outside Stofberg.
The donations are made by Please Our Land Charity, a foundation spearheaded by Magakwe.
On Sunday the charity continued with its good deed when they handed food parcels to the needy and vulnerable at Makgemeng village.
Among the groceries donated included bags of maize meal, rice, cabbages, tinned foods, washing powders, potatoes, cooking oil flour and many more.
He said that the decision to embark on this campaign was formed by the fact that not everyone will manage to sustain themselves and their loved ones during this period.
“It is impossible for the unemployed and those relying on informal jobs to get through this period,” said Magakwe.
“This therefore calls on us as business people to assist where we can.”
He added that he will continue to donate to the needy in and around the Limpopo province.
One of the recipients, Portia Maphanga applauded the foundation for handing them the groceries.
“The foods will last us for the upcoming weeks. We thank Please Our Land Charity for giving back to the communities.
