A group of eight members in ward 37 at Mphanama village under Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality has embarked on a campaign to fight and curb the spread of the coronavirus.
Young determined future leaders took the initiative to sanitise its community at mass gathering like funerals and SASSA pay points.
Paseka Sekhukhune, the group’s managing director said they voluntarily undertook the campaign to create a healthy environment.
“As young people we deem it fit to work together with health professional to fight this pandemic together,” said Paseka.
The drive themed: “we are here for you, together we can fight this”.
According to Paseka the group touched by President Cyril Ramaphosa speech to close down the school.
“His speech inspired us to work together with our community to curb the virus,” said Paseka
Dithohwaneng learners said the group’s PPE was shopped by the professional health worker based at Mphanama clinic. “Health worker donated masks,” he explained.
He said various stakeholders contributed to their drive.
