Criminals blast entry into Usave in Manapjane village

MANAPJANE – Burglars attempted to blast their entry into the U-save store in Manapjane Village outside Marble Hall on Saturday, 02 May 2020 evening.

Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo, Limpopo Provincial Police Spokesperson, said a complainant attached to the store alleged she had closed up for business at about 19:53 that evening and went to her rented room not far from the shop, when after a few minutes she heard a noise from the filing station side, near the store.

Mojapelo said the complainant alleged she went back to the store to check what was happening after she received an alarm notification on her phone.

“She then went inside and found a scanning office bulletproof door shuttered, alarm and camera systems, computers, servers and ceiling damaged. The said damaged property can be valued at R185600.00. While still there, it was alleged that someone was shot by those who damaged the store and he was taken to hospital,” said Mojapelo.

He said police were investigating cases of malicious damage to property and attempted murder. No arrests were made.
