LIMPOPO
Limpopo MEC for the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ms Nandi Ndalane has lauded agriculture produce informal traders in Limpopo for complying with Covid-19 regulations.
This follows the MEC’s visit to Sibasa which was part of the Provincial Command
Council Team operation which is led by Premier, Mr Stan Chupu Mathabatha last week.
Agriculture produce informal traders resumed trading following the relaxation of trading restrictions recently.
These informal agriculture traders are expected to obtain permits in order to comply with Covid-19 trading regulations. “I am quite pleased with the cooperation demonstrated by these informal traders. We are encouraged by those who are complying and are urging those who are interested in trading to obtain permits from their municipalities and provide food for our people,” said Ndalane.
Ndalane expressed that informal traders are playing a huge role in the food chain supply in our province. “Many of our people depend on informal traders to obtain agriculture produce and therefore it is important for those who want to trade to obtain the permits and comply with Covid-19 regulations.
